Want to Keep Employee Loyalty?

Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s  Workplace Benefits Report is an annual study focusing on the role financial benefit plans play in the well being of employees.

What are the most effective ways to increase employee loyalty to the company?

This survey was conducted from January 2012 through March 2012 of a national sample of 1,000 401k employers and 1,00o employees



That should be no surprise.  A study that recently  analyzed U.S. Census data found thirty percent(30%) of adults 25-29 are living with their parents in the New York metro area— among the highest percentage in the nation.  Low employment , inadequate incomes, low marriage rates and student debt are the main culprits.

Business travellers are a content lot.  Ninety-two percent(92%) are satisfied with the amount of travelling they do.   Marriott’s Fairfield Inn & Suites recently conducted a survey of 1,000 business travelers who were on the road more than three times annually and spent   atleast 22 nights in a hotel.

Reasons business travelers enjoy the road include:

*Experiencing new places      68%

*Meeting new people    54%

*Going out to eat    52%

*Earning mileage or loyalty points   47%

*Trying new foods     38%

*Not going to the office    36%

*Spending time alone    29%

One-half (50%) of these business travellers say the most difficult part of travelling  is missing family or a “significant other”. Other  pitfalls mentioned include:  sleeping poorly, not maintaining fitness regimes, and no home cooked meals.

Eighty percent(80%) say business travel makes them more successful at work and more prepared in life.
