A survey of 1,000 U.S. workers sponsored by Michelle McQuaid , an expert on workplace relationships and author of “Five Reasons to Tell Your Boss to Go F**K Themselves! How Positive Psychology Can Help You Get What You Want, found 65% would rather have a better boss than a pay raise. Quite a vote of no confidence. Other findings from the survey include:
*31% of employees feel uninspired by their boss
*15% feel miserable and bored
*60% say they would do a better job if they got along better with their boss
*55% believe they would be more successful in their career if they got along better with the boss
In the same vein, the American Psychological Association in a study earlier this year found three in four employees(75%) say their immediate boss is the worst part of their job.
